Description
In his graphic prints, Jaka Vatovec often expresses an interest in ritual symbolism and the motifs of death, decay, the human psyche and transience. The skulls, coffins, knives, crosses and snakes are uniquely counterbalanced by the author’s colour palette – he likes to include pink, orange and violet shaded, layering the colours and motifs with the help of various techniques and thus allowing us to delve into the pieces on several levels of meaning.
