Maruša Račič (1988) works in graphic design, illustration and photography. After graduating in Graphic and Media Techniques at the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Engineering in Ljubljana, she also graduated in Graphic Design at the Teesside University in Prague in 2017. That same year, she received first place in the Best Author’s Book category in the international Art Books Wanted open call, organised by the Lidu Edition publishing house in Prague. After returning to Slovenia, she has been self-employed in culture since 2015. Some of her recent clients include RTV Slovenija, Kino Šiška, Museums and Galleries of Ljubljana, the DobraVaga Gallery, the Poligon Creative Centre and the Moment Culture and Art Society. A large part of her creative time is also spent on illustration and drawing. She prefers to seek expressiveness in non-digital techniques. She is most fond of collages and the pencil. A great passion of hers, intertwined throughout her work, is also analogue photography. Her work has been featured in numerous exhibitions in Slovenia and abroad.
