Helena Tahir (1992) is active in painting, photography, drawing and graphic arts, receiving the Majski Salon (ZDSLU) award for Best Young Author. She is a postgraduate student of Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Ljubljana, where she graduated with honours in Painting and Artistic Graphics in 2015. In recent years, she attended study exchanges at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Porto and at Hochschule für Grafik und Buchkunst in Leipzig. She has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions both locally and abroad, including Transformation of Image at the Museum of Contemporary Art Zagreb, SlovenIndia at the National Gallery of Modern Art in New Delhi, Zum Zoom Zoum at the GapGap Gallery in Leipzig, Papirologija at the Equrna Gallery, Sixth Independent Biennial at Kino Šiška, the V vrtincu solo exhibition at the Božidar Jakac Gallery in Kostanjevica na Krki, the ART FOR SALE commercial exhibition at UGM Studio Maribor, the first Nekje končati, nekje začeti group exhibition at Ravnikar Gallery Space, where she was later also featured with the Poetika otroštva solo exhibition, and the Nekje blizu solo exhibition at MGLC in Ljubljana in 2020.
