Tina Konec works primarily with drawings and insists on developing and advancing the classic technique of ink and pencil on paper. Through her precise and minimalist drawing, created based on her photographs, she expresses the universality of natural shapes in the micro and macro world. By emphasising the relationship between the positive and the negative, repeating forms and fragmenting elements, she facilitates the viewer’s free interpretation and associations
to the initial tree crown motif. By drawing on sketching paper and layering different drawings across one another, she attained a blurry and fragile effect in her series In the Fog. The compositions of fractals that are created are the result of a lengthy and meditative process, which she constantly adjusts, supplements and alters.
