Meta Wraber is an illustrator and graphic designer from Ljubljana, Slovenia. She studied Visual Communication Design at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design at the University of Ljubljana, and has worked as a freelancer in both fields since 2006. Dancing artichokes, strawberries and scampi, ethereal silhouettes and poetic landscapes are Meta’s trademark. Her illustrated culinary poetry can be admired in literary essays, newspapers, books and posters. She provided the illustrations for the “V naročju” collection of poems and the “Sto obrazov notranje moči” meditative poetry by Alenka Rebula, as well as the “Namazi za mizo” cookbook by Klemen Košir. She also designed and illustrated the “Labrador” collection of poems by Kajetan Kovič. Throughout her experimentation with different drawing and painting techniques, Meta retains her unique aesthetic.
