Dalea Kovačec (1993) is currently finishing the Painting M.A. programme at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design (ALUO) in Ljubljana, where she graduated in 2016 with a thesis titled Altered Memories. During her undergraduate studies, she was an exchange student at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw (2015/16). Her work has been featured in numerous group exhibitions, as well as three solo exhibitions: Reminiscences of Hiding at the GalerijaGallery in Ljubljana, Until the End of Memory at the Kamera Gallery in Kino Šiška, and Altered Diaries at the DobraVaga Gallery in Ljubljana. In 2018, she received the University of Ljubljana ALUO Award for a series of works in various media. In her artistic work, she explores human perception through various media, and is currently focused on memory-related issues. She explores the relationships between memory, childhood and the medium in various social contexts.
