Matija Medved (1990) works in illustration, graphics, painting, animation and design. He was a regular collaborator of the socially critical paper Tribuna, receiving the Hinko Smrekar Award (2014) and the TDC New York Award for Collective Work for his illustrations for the extensive contemporary fairy tale Dragons in the Bathtub. In 2018, his illustrations for the business and finance magazine Bloomberg Businessweek and the art image of the Ljubljana Puppet Theatre were included in the American Illustration 37 archive and published in the contemporary illustration magazine 3×3. His work has been featured in group exhibitions at the National Gallery, the Jakopič Gallery, Kibla, Kino Šiška, the DobraVaga Gallery and the Meštrovič Pavillion, among others. He regularly participate in the Biennial of Slovenian Illustration and the Brumen Biennial. He is a member of the Ansambel collective.
